Easter Statement from CGRP
Prisoners
A cairde
As we gather here today in remembrance of the glorious events of
1916 and our forefathers fight for a free and independent Ireland, free of
the yoke and oppression of British rule, but only that but also free of the
burdens and oppression of their Irish lackeys and supporters.
We must not forget that the job is only partly done and that more
glorious men and women may have to give their life or liberty to achieve it.
we as true and honest republicans must first take a step back and look at
ourselves before we ask these generations to commit to the ultimate
sacrifice.
We must clean house of the lackeys who prefer to line their own pockets or
serve masters in M15,RUC/PSNI or the Special Branch. we must rid ourselves
of these undesirables from whatever level be it top or bottom without delay
as these and not the British or branch are the biggest hindrance we as
republicans face in achieving our end goal.
While some prefer to focus on the politicians and what they are doing
let them do their own thing and let us get on with the real job of
reorganising and rebuilding from the bottom up the same as Pearse and
Connolly and reignite the spirit of true Irish liberation in the hearts
and minds of the Irish People.

Easter Commemoration 2007

On Sunday the 1st of April 3, 2007 a group of
Republicans, the Irish American Brotherhood and their guests the
Concerned Group for Republican Prisoners took part in an Easter
Commemoration which also incorporated a Noel Maguire information
session to highlight the International day of Action and explain
Noels case to those present.
There was a great turn out of people and they listened intently as
the a brief history of the 1916 Easter Rising was given followed by
a reading of an Easter Statement from a CGRP Political Prisoner in
Portlaoise Prison,

A detailed description of the Miscarriage of Justice
perpetrated on Noël Maguire and the evidence that sent him away for
22 years was given to the crowd and his family’s treatment while
visiting him was explained. Also the treatment meted out by the Free
State government in refusing Noels Repatriation request and the
reasons were explained as to why he fully qualifies for
Repatriation. An appeal was made to those present to take a few
minutes to write a short letter or card to Noel and let him know
that Republicans in the US still care and respect the sacrifices of
our political prisoners. A letter of thanks was read out from
Noel thanking those present for their continued support.

It was a successful event with those present
expressing anger and disbelief at the treatment of this young
political prisoner by the Free State Government. We thank everyone
for their support and the Irish American Brotherhood for organizing
this event and allowing the CGRP to participate.
With Irish Americans like these Republicanism will
not be broken and the cause that so many Irishmen and Irishwomen
died for will not be forsaken or sold to the highest bidder.
The vision of our Ireland one day free from
the yoke of the British and her puppet governments is the only
fitting tribute to our glorious forefathers who sacrificed their
freedom and their lives for the cause of Irish Freedom
